This course helps Yale comply with state and federal law, regulations, and regulatory guidance. It includes information about Yale’s policies, support resources, reporting requirements, bystander intervention, and the process for requesting accommodations related to disability, pregnancy, and religion.
All Yale students, faculty, staff, and trainees are required to complete this training by September 15, 2025. New members of the Yale community will also be assigned this required training moving forward.

I already completed a training related to sexual harassment. Do I still need to take this new course?
Yes, all Yale students, faculty, staff, and trainees must take this updated course, Preventing Discrimination, Harassment, and Sexual Misconduct at Yale. This course is different from the previous 20-minute Preventing and Responding to Sexual Misconduct training, as it contains updated information and additional content related to discrimination and harassment, as well as more detailed information about reporting requirements.
This course is also different from the two-hour online training that faculty, staff, and others employed by Yale are required by state law to complete within their first six months of hire, Harassment Prevention: A Commonsense Approach.
